Its one of them there naval navigation thingo's. Those things where you put one point on where you begin, and then walk the compass to where you end, thus measuring the distance. I think. I could be wrong.
Structure: two lines at a rough 45 degree angle with an emboldened dot at the intersecting point. At the two thirds mark, an upwards facing semicircle appears, ending slightly below the emboldened dot. The intersection between the semicircle and the lines gives the impression of the letter A.
THINGS IT COULD BE - sideways sundial - A guy with really long legs, intersecting with the 11 o'clock sun. - A road, stretching off to the horizon (HORIZON! OMG) with some sort of giant semicircular blade laying across it. - If the angle was entirely different, I would say Pyramid with capstone, especially after you said structure. But since it isnt, I won't. - A smiling cyclops with laser-vision? - Vaguely reminiscent of the symbols worshipped by the ancient Pythagoreans, but I HIGHLY doubt that one. - Evil, spiky skyscraper. Not really, but still. - STRING OR NOTHING - Fifty billion nerd points to whoever got that - I give up.

-Fucking guess.
Oh I should've mentioned I was going to say whether guesses were right or wrong.
Wrong. Close in terms of depiction, but not close in terms of what it's supposed to be.
I'm just checking whether people would be able to understand what this was if they saw it.
